3 tips to help you take more risks & put yourself out there

Putting yourself out there is hard! Assuming you find the courage to stake your claim in the ground with your expertise, knowledge and ideas, you also have to decide how to create a money-making structure, figure out how to start a business, and start blogging/tweeting/posting….and the list goes on.

Why on earth would anyone put themselves through this? If you’ve found your way here, you have probably:

  • felt what it’s like to be unfulfilled at your 9-to-5,
  • wanted to make more money on your talents and gifts so that you can quit that dead end 9-to-5, and/or
  • been curious about how to multiply your income streams.

These are some of the most popular reasons why people are willing to take the risk to start that business they’ve been dreaming about, or build that personal brand that opens the door to speaking engagements, book deals, and media interviews.

I recently recorded the below interview that provides 3 tips for taking more risks in life.

My basic suggestions are that you:

1. Create a vision unlimited by your current finances, job, or station in life.

2. Get help from others, like coaches and therapists, if need be.

3. Give yourself permission to go out and get what you want.

Once you watch this video, leave a comment below and let me know what your biggest lesson/takeaway is!

In particular:

  • What risks have you avoided taking thus far?
  • What is one risk you can take today to move you toward the business and personal brand you want?
  • What is your biggest fear in taking this step?

Please give as much information as you can in response to these questions. I’d be happy to share more tools and resources that help you get what you want. And, I know the other folks reading this can learn from your experiences! We are all in this together.

I always say that I’m on a mission to build a nation of good people with dynamic personal brands and successful businesses. We can learn from each other on this journey, particularly when we have accountability partners. This is why I am building a whole nation of them.
